  Dallas, TX--As most of you know I had a major spine/back operation last December 12th, 2010. I am pleased to say that so far it has been a total success. I just recently finished therapy and got doctors permission to fly. I would like to thank all of you who sent many encouraging letters and emails. I can now walk pain free for the first time in almost 4 years. I am now back into the business on a full time basis for the first time in a long time. We’ll be talking soon. On a brighter side, I will be attending the Chicago Paper Money Expo (CPMX) in Rosemont Illinois from March 10th to March 13th. If you have any currency want list you want me to search for you please email me at jhon@jhonecash.com or call me at 214-769-9936. You can also check the “Currency want list” on our website. I also just added over 22 new serial numbers to the 1929 FRBN Star Census. If you have been following the currency market for the last several months you have noticed that the market is on the rebound. Prices of good and rarer material are going up very fast. It is still not to the levels of 2008 but it is indeed on the uptick. If you have been waiting for that right time to buy that special note…do it now. In several months you will be looking back saying that you missed out. It always happens on an up swinging market. We also added a few new things to our website. Brandon has added a new well written section with many photos on ‘Monster Toned Morgan’s” and also we have added a twitter account so you can follow Brandon and I around the shows. I will try to keep it updated as I travel.

  Website Updates — New website updates include a live Twitter ticker on either side of the homepage below the search functions for coins and currency. We will be providing constant updates to our inventory, website, and general information that our clients may find useful.
  Follow us on Twitter to get updates from us at shows.   Toned Morgans — I have completed the first phase of my Toned Morgan Dollar Article and Gallery. It features some of the most beautiful Toned Morgan dollars, with ongoing additions as new examples are acquired.
  The article covers history, estimated population, price ranges based on eye appeal, Heritage auction results for monster toned Morgans, and characteristics of Rainbow Toned Morgans. It also incorporates Doug Kurz’s research on toning and thin-film interference.
  I am compiling images of Artificially Toned (AT) examples, including many in Third Party Grading (TPG) holders, which will be added to the article.

  February Long Beach Show — This was my first Long Beach show in over two years. After hearing rumors of decline since the 2008 numis-recession, I attended with cautious optimism.
  The trip began early Wednesday morning amid icy conditions and school closures. After a slow and careful drive to the airport, I arrived in Long Beach around 1:30PM and managed some business before set-up.
  Thursday was the busiest day with strong dealer and collector activity. Friday slowed down, but remote video technology allowed Jhon to assist with deals from Dallas and added an extra layer of security at the table.
  Saturday was very slow overall, though I still found coins for clients and enjoyed engaging with families new to the hobby. The budget section remained active, and the day highlighted the true spirit of numismatics.
  Sunday I returned to Dallas, where Jhon and I finalized a few more deals and quickly delivered coins to clients. The coins from this show will be listed shortly. I’m already looking forward to the next show.

  I have just finished my article on Monster and High-End Rainbow toned Morgan dollars. I have tried to be as accurate and informational as possible along with showing a gallery of the nicest toned Morgan dollars I have handled in the past few years. I will keep this gallery and article ever expanding with new information and monsters that I find.
