1881 10c NGC PF64 CAMEO Stunningly Toned Proof Seated Dime
This is such a beautifully toned Seated Dime. I am always on the look for these little elusive beauties but whenever I find them, there is usually something that turns me off on the coin. Either there will be an abundance of hairlines for the grade, hazy spots/areas, overgraded, ect. Well, I think I finally found one I like...alot. This puppy exhibits intense purple toning in the central obverse blending into a fantastic royal blue which then blends into an icy lime/turquoise near the rims. In addition to the color, the cameo on the obverse is attractive. What the reverse lacks in monster color, it makes up for with a very deep cameo contrast and exhibits a rose/purple color with a hint of royal blue near the lower rim. Since my above straight on shot is not adequate to show the beautiful hues on the obverse, here is another shot the shows the color. It is not a great shot with a large glare on the coin but you get the idea of what the color on the obverse looks like.
