1886 5c NGC PF65 Beautiful Rainbow Toned Proof Liberty Nickel

Rarely does such a blazing Proof Liberty Nickel beauty present itself to me. Actually, I had to go hunt this baby down at the Long Beach show. Out of all the coins in the cases that I perused at the show, this one stood out as one of my most beautiful pick-ups. I was happy with it under the show lights but was blown away getting it under some good lights to view the coin in. This is an absolutely gorgeous coin with intense mirrored flash and some of the most beautiful color I have seen on a Proof Liberty Nickel. The center of the obverse is a peach gold transitioning into rosy gold in the fields which are surrounded by heavenly shades of icy blue and a hint of lime green. The reverse is icy blue and punctuated with rose and a touch of lime near the rims. Go ahead, if you like Proof Liberty Nickels, I guarantee you will be taking another look at this beauty. Unless it sells quickly, which in that case, you will have to look at it in our archives, most likely with that sunken feeling in your heart that you just missed out on something truly special.
