Well well well, what we have here is hidden profit. This coin was purchased as an ICG MS63 RB and cracked out and sent to PCGS where it was subsequently graded 94 (Altered Surfaces). Taking a close inspection of the piece will not raise any suspicion to that fact, however. This coin has above average eye appeal for a Draped Bust Half Cent and exhibits an abundance of red and good luster in the red and protected areas. The reverse is essentially a deep chocolate brown. The wear is consistent with ICG''s assigned grade of MS63RB but I''m more on the conservative side and see it as an MS62RB. The market price for an MS62RB is in the range of $2000-$2700 depending on the surface quality and amount of red showing. This listing is being sold as a true auction starting at 99c and ending at whatever level bidders are comfortable with for this appealing coin. This is a nice coin that I''m sure you will be happy with if you are bidding based on my images. You can see the coin for what it truly looks like in hand with the pictures I''ve provided.
