This is a stunning GEM example of the ever popular 1922 $10 Gold Certificate that features the head of Michael Hillegas, the first Treasury of the United States from 1775 to 1789. The front also displays the golden small scalloped seal is to the right and of course the two golden serial numbers. The key to buying large size gold certificates is to obviously look at the margins but more importantly is to check out the color on the reverse. You want to see the deep burnt-orange colors jump out at you. So many of these gold certificates are ruined and badly faded, due to the washing and cleaning. This is a perfect example is what you want to see with the perfectly squared corners and great margins along with the vibrant burnt-orange gold colors. You can see the anti counterfeiting fibers on the reverse as well.> Check out the design of the reverse, is that some of the most amazing intricate design work you have ever see. It reminds me of a burning sun with the golden rays shooting into the heavens. The serial number of this note is K10811916 and is in a PMG GEM-65EPQ holder.
