This is a very rare 1922 $100 Gold Certificate STAR,/b>. Most large size star collectors have never seen one of these rare 1922 $100 gold certificate STARS, because they are very rare and seldom come up for sale at auctions anywhere. When they do it is a battle to buy one a a price like I am offering here! This note has had some minor repair work done on it as most of these types of notes have. You may not be able to see it with the naked eye, but it is there. But they are so rare it has to be done to keep them for future generations.

According to the latest census there are less that 25 known, with most in the low grade of VG/F to low VF. I purchased this beauty as part of a larger collection back in June of 2014 at the Memphis show. The last 1922 $100 Gold Certificate STAR I owned was a PCGS-VF-25 and I sold it for $13,500 in 2011. View the large scans for a close up look. There was a 1922 $100 Gold Cert in a PCGS-40 sold in a Lyn Knight auction for $16,100 on 6/15/2015. I was going to keep this note in my Jhon E Cash Collection but decided to put it on my website for my clients. This rare STAR will not last long!
