This 1934 $5,000 FRN note has the WOW factor. The WOW meaning it is one of the few $5,000 notes of all grades to have earned a PPQ designation. That means this new to the market note has never been cleaned, pressed, repaired, restored or doctored with in any way. It is totally original with great punch through embossing. It seems as if someone put this note away a very long time ago as there is no dirty soil or major wrinkles associated with normal circulation. As you can see by the large scans it has maintained its deep vivid green inks and broad white margins. There are no rips, tears, pinholes or bank marks. Of the 50 known 1934 $5,000 Chicago notes known, this is only the third that has the PPQ designation. The other two are graded PCGS-50PPQ and PMG- 62EPQ. The last 1934 EPQ/PPQ $5,000 bill I recall at auction was a PMG-64PPQ in a Heritage auction at Long Beach last year. I purchase that note for over $140,000. The PPQ/EPQ notes just do not come around very often and when they do they are snapped up quickly. I just put this one on my website 6/29/2012. As the largest reseller of $5,000 and $10,000 bills in the US I am always interested in buying from collectors, individuals or investors. If you have any for sale or know of someone who is, please contact me for a strong offer. I have other $5,000 and $10,000 bills available. If you would like further information on this note you can call Jhon at 214-769-9936 or email me at jhon@jhonecash.com.
