The Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) takes you to the official government site of the BEP for some interesting information and facts on all of our US currency.

US Papermoney will take you to a site that is full of information on everything you ever wanted to know about our US currency. Almost everything anyway. Very cool site!

The American Numismatics Association (ANA) is a professional organization for those who want to further learn about US coins and currency.

PMG and PCGS are the only two TRUE independent currency-grading services available. I highly recommend these two companies for those of you who want to get their currency certified and graded for insurance purposes or simply, a peace of mind.

POP1/0… This is the FINEST KNOWN 1935G Silver Certificate Inverted Star graded by PCGS or PMG. Not only is it the Finest Known it is also a PPQ Note. The next highest grade is a PCGS-40PPQ. Just how rare are these? PCGS has only graded 4 of them and PMG has not graded any of them.

You will not see any of these inverted star errors in this high grade, as a matter of fact I have never ever seen one. I purchased this note raw and had it graded several years ago and it has been in my collection for some time.

Here we have a 1935G $1 Silver Certificate star, with the Lower Left star being "Inverted". Look closely at the star on the bottom left side. See how it sits on one tip instead of two tips like it normally does, like on the upper right side. I do not come across the opportunity to buy these inverted stars very often. The last one I sold was in the summer of 2009 and it was a so-so F/VF note same series as this one, and it went for $1800. This is a Choice Uncirculated note graded PCGS-63PPQ. The error serial number is *1958717G. For you error collectorsd who want the Finest Known Error, here is your one chance.
