This is a stunning Superb Gem example of the 1922 $20 Gold Certificate which also happens to be a Mule note. The Mule variety happens to be almost 20 times scarcer than the regular 1922 Gold Certificate. As you view this note you can understand why it has been graded a PCGD Superb GEM-66PPQ. The margins are perfect all the way around. Look at the reverse and you will see the bright burnt-orange gold colors jump out at you. It simply doesn’t get any better than this on a gold certificate of any denomination or series. The serial number is K3562620 and it is in a PCGS-66PPQ holder.

The last 1187 plain sold for $$5287 in a Heritage auction on 1/13/2013.
