Fr.-2210* 1928 $1,000 FRN New York Star (2 known) Ser. # B00000068* PMG VF-30EPQ
Here is another rare 1928 $1,000 Star note. I own two of the 14 known 1928 $1,000* star notes. This is from the New York District. There are two known the other one is serial number B00000111*. It is F/VF and it sold for $52,000 in January 2006. It had issues. It will never bee seen again. This note has the EPQ notation which means it is 100% original, never messed with as is most of these rare star notes. This note currently resides in the Jhon E Cash Star Collection. This note is also the second lowest serial number star known of all 14 1928 $1,000 star notes. A 1928 $1,000 Star from the New York district just sold at the FUN show in Orlando on 1/12/2013 for $76,875 in a PCGS-63 holder. These 1928 $1000 stars are very rare and highly desirable by collectors. They only show up every year or so.
