PMG and PCGS are the only two TRUE independent currency-grading services available. I highly recommend these two companies for those of you who want to get their currency certified and graded for insurance purposes or simply, a peace of mind.

For those of you who KNOW $500's and $1,000's you will understand when I say how important and rare this note is. This is a 1928 $1,000 FRN from the scarce St. Louis district. The serial number is H00039140A and it resides in a PMG AU-58EPQ holder.

This 1928 $1,000 is part of a 28 piece collection of $500 and $1,000 FRN's I purchased at the Atlanta ANA this past February.

Now what makes this note so special is that it is a LIGHT GREEN SEAL (LGS) variety. Light Green Seals are a true rarity on any 1928 series. 1928 $1,000 Light Green Seal FRN's are highly collectable and desired by all collectors. To top it off I have another 1928 $1,000 St Louis just like this one with consecutive serial numbers. The serial number of the other 1928 $1,000 St Louis note is H00039141A and is in the same PMG-58EPQ grade. It is also offered on this website. Two consecutive 1928 $1.000 LGS FRN's with the light green seal. Double your pleasure! This is the first example of this series I have ever owned and I have two consecutive notes to offer my clients.

If you will look close at the large scans you will notice on the right side of the face there is a slight paper bend vertically. You cant see it on the front as well as the back. It is not a true fold but a paper bend that does not break the paper and create a fold. PMG says that technically that HAVE to give it a 58EPQ instead of a $15,000 66EPQ grade because of this silly bend. I call BS on that! It would be so EASY to remove it from the holder and remove the bend with a rolling eraser and get it re graded. However I'm not into that. So I will sell it as is.

Someone is going to get very lucky, especially is you buy both of them. I will discount the price if you take them as a set. It would be a shame to break them up. Consecutive 1928 $1,000 Light Green Seal's are un heard of!
