This is a very nice example of a 1928 $1,000 FRN from the ever popular Chicago district. The serial number is G00066862A and is in a conservative PCGS-53PPQ holder. Anytime you find any 1928 note of any denomination in a PMG-EPQ or PCGS-PPQ holder, grab it fast. I have bought and sold thousands of $500 and $1,000 bills and I can tell you almost 60%-70% of them have been pressed and cleaned. Especially tough in PPQ/EPQ is the 1928 Gold on Demand series. They just don't show up often and when they do every one fight for it. Check Heritages, Bowers or Lyn Knight auctions and you will see what I mean. This note has OUTSTAND PUNCH THROUGH EMBOSSING on it as you can clearly see the serial numbers through the holder from the back. This note never hit circulation as you can see that none of the four corners has any bends or foilds. That is always the first tell tell signs of circulation. This is just a beautiful example of the 1928 series.
