7/3/2012---- THIS NOTE IS IN A PCGS-40 HOLDER net. This is a brand new 1934 Philadelphia $5,000 FRN that just came out of a clients safety deposit box after being locked up for over 41 years. It is brand new to the census with its super low two-digit serial number of C00000029A. With this new note, that makes the total population for this district to only nine known. Of the nine known, six of them have some type of issues. This note is one of the nicer ones. You can see and feel the embossing with your fingertips at the top of the bill and on the serial numbers. Luckily, this note never made it to the doctoring factory as so many of them have now days. For the record there is one tiny slit on the left margin that does not go into the green design and one small nick at the middle top. They are very tiny. I got this rare 1934 $5,000 Philadelphia note graded as a PCGS Extra Fine 40. If not for the tiny edge split it would have been graded as a PCGS-40PPQ note. I guarantee its authenticity. If you are looking for a real steal for a nice original PCGS-40 1934 $5,000 Philadelphia note for type, here is your chance. This one won't last long. For more information call me at 214-769-9936.
