This is a very nice example of the 18936 $1 Silver Certificate commonly referred to as the Educational note. It is part of the 3 note series of 1896 consisting of the $1, $2 and the $5. It depicts History instructing youth about the constitution to the right. This example has no rips, tears, pinholes or bank stamps. Check the back margins and see how it faces up like a GEM note. For the person who wants a real nice example of the 1896 $1 Education at a very affordable price, you need to consider this one. The serial number is 1755977 and is in a PCGS almost uncirculated 58 holder.
