This is a circulated example of the 1899 $1 Black Eagle Silver Certificate with a rare Inverted Face Error. The inverted serial number is M84016486A. Since the back of the note was printed first, that makes the front of the note the actual invert. But since most people see the front of the note first they assume the back is upside down. Large Size Inverted Error notes are very rare in any grade. It amazes me that this note was in actual circulation for so long until someone realized what they had. For you error note collectors this is a chance to own a really cool large size error note that is missing from most error collection, for a fraction of what I paid for it. Although it is circulated, there are no rips, tears or pinholes, only a small nick at the bottom left that does not go into the design.
