Of the 31 notes I bought at the past FUN show held in Tampa, Fl, this is probably the single best buy I had. I have owned many 1928 $500 Gold Certificates but this is the first one I have had that is in a PPQ or EPQ condition at this grade. I just recently had 6 1928 $500 Gold Certificates, all in VF-20 to VF-35 but none of them were in original condition. This beauty is one of my last ones left. The others had been press or cleaned as 80% of them known have. It was an acceptiable pratice back in the 1920-1960 era to clean and press notes for fussy collectors. Anyway this is a really nice un-doctored note with nice vibrant color and no problems such as pinholes, bank marks, rips, tears or hard folds. The serial number is A00033049A and it is in a PCGS VF-25PPQ holder. If you are looking for a nice type problem free 1928 $500 Gold Certificate that does not cost $25,000 to $30,000 then you won't be able to pass on this one. It has been graded as a PCGS VF-25PPQ. Jump on this one quick, before someone realizes that this note is here on the website.
