This is a real nice mid grade 1896 $2 Silver Certificate or commonly referred to as a Educational Note. it features Science presenting steam and electricity to commerce and manufacture. The educational 3 note series is one of the most popular among collectors. The note has no rips, tears or pinholes. You will notice the even margins and centering. The lipstick red seal and blue serial numbers complete this nice and collectable educational note. The heads of inventors Robert Fulton and Samuel F.B. Morse are displayed on the back. The serial number is 18059808 and it is in a PMG-35 holder.
