This is a super nice 1899 $5 Silver Certificate Chief note. It is one of the earlier PMG notes before they used the EPQ designator. PMG has notated on the back GREAT EMBOSSING. How can you have Great Embossing without the EPQ? Anyway as you will see in the scans it is totaly original with GEM margins on both sides. There are no rips, tears, pinholes or markings of any kind. The seal and serial numbers are deep dark blue inks as well it features creamy white paper quality. An overall stunning example of the famous 1899 Silver Certificate. the serial number is M30529791 and is in a PMG-40GE holder. This is also one of the scarcer FR numbers for the series.
