This 1899 $5 Chief note is very rare as there are only 10 FR-278* Type II star notes known to exist. The serial # is *839744B. It has been graded as a PMG-15 Net and is the 4th finest known. The bottom right corner margin tip has been professionally repaired and does not go into the design of the note. It has not been re-attached at the holder stats. Thats simply not true. I know because I sent it to them. According to the Murray book on Large Size Stars this note list for $3500 in VG-F condition and $6,000 in VF. I have drastically reduced the price on this on to below my cost and ready to sale to the person who is looking for a rare type Chief star note.
