This is a FR-294 or it is also known as the Tombstone Note. It features a bust of Thomas A Hendricks, Vice President of the United States from March 4th, 1885 to November 25th, 1885. He died in office. His portrait on the front is inside a tombstone enclosure. That is how the note became known at the Tombstone Note, especially since he died in office.. This 1886 $10 Silver Certificate with the large Red Seal has always been very popular with collectors. This note has been graded as a PCGS-35.
