This is the famous 1891 $10 Silver Certificate commonly referred to as the “Hendricks Note or the Tombstone Note". Thomas A Hendricks was Vice-President of the United States from March 4th, 1885 to November 25th, 1885. He died in office. His portrait is enclosed within a tombstone design on the front, hense the name Tombstone Note. This note was printed in 1886, 1891 and again in 1908 which had the popular small blue seal design.

This 1891 Silver Certificate has excellent margins with NO rips, tears, markings or pinholes. It is housed in a PMG VF-35EPQ holder. It is totally original. The serial number is E23471922. This nice noite also features the small red scalloped seal with dark blue serial numbers. Check out the ornate back design. There are not many Tombstones around in EPQ.
