I had to do a lot of looking and searching to find this beautiful 1908 $10 Tombstone Silver Certificate. To find one in a mid grade with the PPQ on it is next to impossible. You may look at sixty to seventy notes before you come across one like this one. It has everything going for it.

This famous note got its name the Tombstone note because of the outline around the portrait of Thomas Hendricks resembles a tombstone. Also to add to the mystic, Thomas Hendricks was the Vice President of the US from March 4, 1885 to November 25, 1885 and he died while still in office. I guess he died in office so they put his portrait inside a tombstone on this special note. How cool is that?

The serial number of this 1908 blue seal variety is D551823 and is in a PCGS-40PPQ holder. This really is a beautiful and original note at a real good price. It features: great embossing, super nice and even margins, vivid blue colors and no hard folds or any other problems at all. Totally original! This one won't last long before someone finds it!
