This is a very nice example of the 1923 $1 Legal Tender, which was the last of the large size notes. It features the red scallop seal to the left along with red serial numbers. George Washington is on the face. What make this note so unusual is that it is an EF-40PPQ. Most of the mid grade notes like this have been pressed out by note doctors to try and get a higher grade. This note is totally original with no rips, tears, pinholes or issues of any kind. That’s unusual. It faces up like a GEM with the perfect margins. You can see the three folds on the back. Someone put this note away a long time ago. The serial number is A11483689B and is in a PMG-40EPQ holder.
