This 1862 $5 Legal Tender is a recent addition that literally came out of the woodwork. They are both new to the market. I purchased two consecutive seriated numbered notes. This note has a serial number of 4319 and is in a PCGS-65PPQ holder and I also have serial number 4318 in a PCGS-58PPQ holder. What can you say about this 1862 $5 Legal Tender? It has it all. Perfect deep green detailed colors front and back, even margins and perfect centering. It has never been worked on as so many of them have. You will not find a better example anywhere on the internet for this price. The Greensheet ask price is $6,000.
