This 1902 $50 National Bank Note from the First National Bank of Murphysboro, Il and is graded as a PMG EF-45EPQ with serial # 253. It features strong signatures, sharp color and crackling fresh paper quality. The last sale of this type note was on 5/12/2004 in NY and it was a VF-40. This is a very high grade note with the "EPQ" designation. Totally original, no doctoring here. This note should easily be a AU-55EPQ. Only 3 small folds. One of only three notes reported, this is only the second note of this type from this scarce bank. A wonderful note that has all the right qualities that one looks for in a National Bank Note.
