This is a rare Fr.-743* or a 1918 $1 FRBN Star from the San Francisco district. 1918 $1 and $2 FRBN Stars are always tough and very popular among collectors. The serial number is L86525*. According to Doug Murrays US Large Size Star Note Book there are only 15 known to exist. Of the 15 known there are two EF and one CU notes. That would put this one the fourth finest known. This note was discovered and reported in June of 1991. It is a solid VF grade. If you are putting together a set of theses FRBN stars, you definitely need to grab this one. Don't look for the other three in higher grades to come along anytime soon.
