Large size star notes were first issued in 1910. Star notes were pre-printed notes used by the BEP ,to replace notes found to be unfit for circulation due to misprints or errors. They were inserted in to replace defective notes due to misprinting at the BEP.
All large size stars notes are rare as very few were saved during the hard times. Most all of your currency notes have stars notes after the 1910 printing.
