Obverse Design: Barber's head of Liberty right, IN GOD WE TRUST above, seven stars left, six stars right, date 1891 below. Similar to the design adopted in 1892.

Reverse Design: Heraldic eagle. Somewhat similar in general concept to the adopted issue, except for certain stars being below the ribbon and for a group of clouds above.

Additional Details: Two pieces known, both in the Smithsonian Institution.
